The purpose of advertising is to get media products out to people everywhere such as an advert for shampoo could be advertised on buses or posters scattered around places where people are frequently passing allowing for more people to see their advert about their product. What is a target market? A target market is a specific part of the market the product is trying to be seen under such as a shampoo bottle will be under lifestyle. How does advertising work? Advertising works by the company of the product uses 10-15% of their budget to design and create the advert so that it has a USP (Unique Selling Point) and the rest of the budget is used to spread the advert everywhere so that the audience will see its message.
